Wolves boss Kenny Jackett felt the positives outweighed the negatives as his team were frustratingly held by Nottingham Forest at Molineux.

Dexter Blackstock's late equaliser cancelled out Ethan Ebanks-Landell's opener, with Wolves the better side but not able to get that crucial second goal.

They extended their unbeaten run to five matches but Jackett knows it's wins Wolves need to climb the table.

However he was full of praise for his side after another spirited performance.

"I felt we had the technique. And the passing and the build-up was very good," he said,

"In the second period we played very well, looked the dominant team and looked more likely to score.

"Ultimately with that level of control in the second period we're disappointed we couldn't put the game away and capitalise on a lot of the good things we did.

"I thought we showed a lot of heart, our closing down was a lot better, our work rate from the front in terms of winning the ball back was better, our flow and our passing - we caused them a lot of problems.

"We're frustrated at not winning. The players gave everything and I think the crowd responded to our effort levels.

"Ultimately though we are disappointed again. We couldn't put Forest away."

Jordan Graham provided another assist - his third in two matches - in another impressive performance while Wolves generally looked good at the back with Ebanks-Landell and Danny Batth forming a solid partnership.

With Leeds to come at Molineux next Thursday, Jackett will be keen to turn draws into wins as Wolves look to get closer to the top six.

"There were more positives than negatives, definitely," he added.

"Results are obviously the bottom line. We've just drawn four out of the last five - is it points lost or a good unbeaten run?

"We are close. We're not quite where we want to be, obviously, but we are close.

"And there was a high performance level tonight, high energy. And six players of the 11 have come through the under-21 system, which is very good.

"Ethan Ebanks-Landell's had two good games coming in. He'll want to be backed with this opportunity."
