'Hurt' Kenny Jackett has urged Wolves' players to 'get angry' to bounce back from their demolition at Derby.

The head coach spent an uncomfortable weekend poring over the video of the 5-0 drubbing at the i-Pro Stadium.

And he acknowledged his players will be judged on the pitch when they host Nottingham Forest after the international break.

"Actions speak louder than words and we have to be determined enough, angry enough and focused enough on what we need to do and make the right assessment going forward to improve the team," said Jackett.

"It hurts – it hurt the first time I watched it and I watched it again and you have to use that hurt to improve your team. We've come up against two good clubs and we have to value it (defending) more, recognise it, work at it and improve it by the time we play again.

"We need to come out fighting when we play Forest and play to our strengths with a top-class performance."

Jackett is also weighing up whether the successive defeats to Ipswich and Derby have any psychological effect on his players. "Will it affect us and are they scarred by this? That will be seen in future performances," he said. "But we have to make sure it doesn't become a trend. Only future games will determine whether that. Our attitude has to be to fight back and make sure it doesn't become a dip in form."

Jackett admitted confidence has taken a bashing. "Confidence is earned and next time we play we've got to work hard enough to earn it," he added.
