Wolves loan Yannick Sagbo from Hull City
Wolves today completed the signing of Hull City striker Yannick Sagbo on loan until January.
The powerful 26-year-old Ivory Coast forward has signed in time to be available for tomorrow's visit of Huddersfield.
And his arrival means the club have performed a U-turn over Kei Kamara. They will not now be pursuing a work permit for the Sierra Leone international, who had a trial at Compton last week.
Sagbo's arrival ends Kenny Jackett's summer-long search for reinforcements after missing out on Chris Wood, Patrick Bamford, Andy Delort and Callum Wilson.
The Marseille-born attacker moved to Hull in summer 2013, scoring twice in 28 league appearances last season - of which 12 were as a substitute - after 25 goals in 99 appearances in three seasons at Evian.
In total, he scored four goals for Hull, including the Tigers' first in last season's 5-3 FA Cup semi-final win over Sheffield United at Wembley.
But he has slipped down the pecking order this season after the arrival of Nikica Jelavic and Abel Hernandez, figuring just once at senior level, the recent Capital One Cup penalties defeat at Albion.
Head coach Kenny Jackett said: "I'm very pleased we've managed to bring Yannick in. He made a good fist of the Premier League last year at Hull.
"Now they've gone in a different direction but we're really pleased to bring him here. He has a lot of power and a lot of ability and we believe he'll link very well with our other forwards.
"He has a chance of being involved tomorrow. We were looking for someone ready to play now and he played for Hull last week in the Capital One Cup against West Brom.
"We saw that game and he's fit and ready and a good addition for us."
Head of development Kevin Thelwell said: "It's been well documented in terms of strikers we've been looking at and it's sometimes very easy to take the wrong one.
"We've got a lot of confidence in the group we've got which has been backed up by the start we have made.
"Then when things open up, as they often do, an opportunity comes which you feel is right to take things forward and that's exactly how it was for us with Yannick.
"He's a player we've known about for some time and we've seen him do well in the Premier League last year.
"He's a good fit for us in terms of our style of play and what we want to achieve and we're really pleased about having him in the building."
Regarding Kamara, Jackett said: "We had Kei in for training for a few days but the work permit situation is a difficult one.
"It wasn't really possible on a short term deal so unfortunately it's not something we're going to pursue."
