Wolves boss Kenny Jackett today insisted being named joint League One manager of the year was an accolade for the whole club.

The Molineux head coach was honoured by the League Managers' Association at last night's 22nd Annual LMA awards dinner at the Old Billingsgate in London.

The 52-year-old shares the honour with Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade, whose side finished third after leading the table for much of the season until Wolves kept top spot from February 1 onwards.

"It is always good to be recognised, but I do feel the award is a recognition for the work everyone at the club has done towards our achievements this season," said the Wolves head coach.

"I was pleased to be present at the dinner last night representing Wolves and receiving the accolade which is on behalf of everyone at the club."

Jackett also praised Slade, who despite a limited budget kept his Orient side in a three-way battle for automatic promotion with Wolves and Brentford before finishing eight points below the Bees.

"On a personal note I am delighted to have won this award from the League Managers' Association and to have shared it with Russell, who has done a terrific job at Leyton Orient," said Jackett.

Jackett's record-breaking achievements this season saw him add to his five manager of the month awards at Millwall with one at Wolves for March, while he was also nominated for April.

Six club records and two national milestones went to Jackett's League One champions as they won 17 out of their final 21 games.

Wolves' tally of 103 points and 25 clean sheets were the highest ever in the third tier and the best in the club's history, while nine successive wins, 31 overall wins, 14 away victories and three away defeats were also club's bests in their 137-year history.
