The Molineux head coach stole the show at last night's end of season awards dinner with a passionate speech in front of 710 guests at the Telford International Centre.

He said: "We have to be the hungriest team and the fittest team in the Championship and not under-estimate any team but not fear anyone.

"It's about making sure we don't waste this season and make it a successful era for this club.

"We're looking for a similar outcome again next year.

"You still have to go out and earn the points but this club has a Premier League stamp about it and that's something we should cultivate and take further.

"The players have been fantastic and deserve the plaudits, but from the start of next season, every single team starts on zero and we should gain confidence from our achievements and build on what we've done.

"Consistently and progressively, we've improved the football and improved the results."
