Kevin McDonald seals double award at Wolves end of season dinner
Kevin McDonald was tonight celebrating after being named Wolves'double Player of the Year.
The Scottish midfielder was crowned players' player and fans' choice at the club's end of season dinner in front of 710 staff and guests at Telford International Centre.
The 25-year-old playmaker said: "It's such an honour to be voted as player of the year by both the fans and the players.
"It's been such a fantastic season for myself and as a team it's been amazing.
"It's a great club to play for and I'm very happy and settled here and enjoying my football. Long may it continue."
Bakary Sako was top goalscorer with 13 and Michael Jacobs won goal of the season for his stunning strike in the 3-0 win at Brentford.
Jack Price was named young professional of the year and midfielder Declan Weeks was voted academy player of the year.
Joseph Thompson, aged, 12 from Pensnett, won the Express & Star's Fan of the Season at the glittering awards ceremomy and the 'champagne moment' was winning promotion and the title.
