George Elokobi: I'm a Wolves fan now
George Elokobi today said he will become a Wolves fan after being released from the club.
The popular defender, who is out of contract this summer, is poised to start a new chapter in his career after being told he won't be offered a new deal.
But the 28-year-old has plenty of happy memories of his six-and-a-half years at Molineux.
"It's an emotional day and at the same time these are fantastic memories for me and I'll leave with a lot of pride and with Wolves on a high," said the Cameroon-born left-back.
"Hopefully these good times are going to continue in the future for Wolves – I'm a fan now and no one will be stopping me coming to watch Wolves when I can.
"There's a real buzz about Wolves at the moment and if I was going to leave, I always wanted it to be at a time like this."

Elokobi will bid farewell at the final game of the season at home to Carlisle, but won't be playing.
"I'll be there tomorrow to make sure I say my farewells and my thank yous to all the fans," he said. "And I'll look forward to Jody Craddock's testimonial on Monday when hopefully I can get on the pitch as well."
"They're fantastic fans and to have that support, even when I didn't play for so long, is incredible.
"I've been through it all - I've got scars, medals, relegation tears and promotion tears.
"It's just great to see the club going in the right direction."
