With the midfielder not currently in Head Coach Kenny Jackett's plans, the club have agreed to let him head out for the intensive one-to-one training with EXOS, renowned as a leader in performance training for elite and professional athletes.

This is with the intention of O'Hara returning in the best possible condition to either further his claims at Wolves or be available for an emergency loan move elsewhere.

Head of Football Development and Recruitment Kevin Thelwell said: "Jamie is not currently in Kenny's plans at first team level and so we have agreed to his request to go to America and undergo some intensive one-to-one training, at his own expense.

"Given the situation, and the opportunity for Jamie to try and return to peak physical condition, it was agreed that this was the best decision for all parties."

O'Hara added: "I am taking this opportunity seriously and want to return re-invigorated and hungry to prove a point to people.

"I have been training well and am feeling strong physically, and I am positive my time at EXOS will only be a good thing for me as I look to kick on with my career."
