Wolves keen on new deal for Jack Robinson
Wolves want to keep on-loan Liverpool left-back Jack Robinson next season if they stay up.
The tough-tackling England Under-21 international has done well since joining from the Reds and the club want to extend the deal if they win their survival battle in the Championship.
Robinson, 19, has reeled off seven appearances before today's crunch visit of Huddersfield, keeping out experienced Ireland international Stephen Ward.
Chief executive Jez Moxey said: "Jack has done very well. There isn't anything yet in place – we're just going to get to the end of the season.
"But he's done very well. I think he's enjoying it here and he's a player we would be interested in next season."
Robinson was one of three players Wolves have brought in since January with other loan captures Kaspars Gorkss and Nouha Dicko to counter the five who left.
Moxey again defended the low-key business in the two transfer windows.
"We brought in three players and we're committed to Kaspars Gorkss in terms of a salary and a transfer fee if we stay up," he said.
"You can always do more, and let's hope we've got enough to get us over the line, stay in this division and move forward."
An all-time low of 9,036 signed up for the club's Early Bird season ticket promotion.
But Moxey believes the stayaway thousands will return if the team starts winning.
"The figure reinforces what we always thought which was we've got probably between 8,000-10,000 hardcore fans who are going to back the club come what may," he said.
"Those who haven't renewed haven't done so because they're so disappointed at what they've seen over the last 18 months or so.
"Falling from the Premier League to struggling in the Championship is difficult for everyone to take so we absolutely feel how these fans are feeling.
"We feel exactly the same way and we've got to do much, much better. We know many fans want to send us a protest vote or vote of no confidence.
"It's our job to improve matters to make it attractive enough for them to say 'We're going to buy tickets and support the team'.
"And if we can play well and play attractive, winning football, the fans will come back."
