Matt Jarvis today insisted Wolves' players are behind Terry Connor and remain convinced he is the right man for the job.

The continued poor results have led to speculation that Connor's position as manager is under threat after just four games, which have yielded one point.

But winger Jarvis, who is enjoying an excellent run of form again, conveyed the feeling of the dressing room when asked if the 49-year-old was still the man for the job.

Jarvis said: "Of course he is, definitely. He knows us all and we're working extremely hard on the training ground and hopefully we can repay him and keep us up.

"It's not easy but we're all behind him and all giving 100 per cent."

Jarvis revealed there are signs in training that the work Connor is doing is starting to pay off.

"You can see from the shape of the team and the workrate that everyone knows their jobs and works for each other and, if there's a mistake, we try to rectify it," he said.

"We're working on things and hopefully we can get the right results and get some good fortune to kick-start things."
