Hal Robson-Kanu eager to repay West Brom fans' support
Striker Hal Robson-Kanu is desperate to repay the support of Albion's fans with the goals which would seal a top-10 finish this season.
The Wales international has become a fan favourite at The Hawthorns despite starting just five games for the Baggies since joining on a free transfer last September.
After a season largely having to make do with a place on the bench, Robson-Kanu has started the last three Premier League fixtures and is eager to increase his tally of two goals to date.
"I had been 12 years at my previous club, which is a long time," said the 27-year-old. "To come into a new environment and be taken to by the fans so quickly was very special.
"My focus is on repaying that by continuing to put in the work and performances and scoring goals. Hopefully I manage that this season and beyond."
Albion have spent most of the campaign in the top half of the Premier League table but their position is under threat after just one win in seven, ahead of a run-in which includes games against Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Baggies, who are aiming to hit the 50-point barrier for the first time in the Premier League, have also failed to score in six of the last seven games.
"We have done tremendously well but we want to do better," added Robson-Kanu. "You are only as good as your last game and our focus is always on the next one.
"That is what we have done all season and what we will continue to do until the end.
"You can have periods like this. We had them earlier in the season. Now it's about us coming out and reacting.
"This is the pressure you want. We are all playing at the top level of our sport and you have to be a certain type of character to be playing at that level. We are no different.
"We want to continue winning, continue putting in performances. Hopefully we can finish the season strongly and then look back and say we have done well but aim to do better next."
