McManaman had been linked with a move away from the Hawthorns, but won't be leaving before Monday's transfer deadline.

The 24-year-old, who cost £4.75million from Wigan Athletic a year ago, has made 14 appearances this season but only two starts.

He's now out for the foreseeable future after being hurt on the training ground, but Albion are in line to bolster their ranks.

Brazilian midfielder Sandro is having a medical today and could feature in tomorrow's FA Cup fourth round clash with Peterborough.

The 26-year-old is joining on loan from Queens Park Rangers until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

The former Spurs man has been at the Baggies' training ground this morning, but his deal needs to be rubber-stamped by 12 noon if he's going to play against Posh tomorrow.
