West Brom boss Tony Pulis has told in-form striker Brown Ideye to carry on with his acrobatics.

Ideye, 26, marked his second goal in Albion's 4-0 FA Cup savaging of West Ham last weekend with a celebratory somersault.

And head coach Pulis has no reservations about him repeating the spectacular – but risky – celebration as long as he keeps finding the net.

Pulis said: "He can do it every time he scores as far as I'm concerned.

"Let's hope he does it another 15 times before the season is out."

Ideye looked as if he was heading for the Hawthorns exit during the January transfer window after a poor first half of the campaign, which saw him net just twice in league and cup.

But the Nigerian has now scored four goals in last three games, with strikes against Burnley and Swansea preceding his impressive brace against the Hammers.

He is also building an impressive partnership with fellow striker Saido Berahino, who has two goals from his last two games.

And Pulis, who was today set to lead his team to Sunderland in the Premier League, hopes there is more to come from the impressive duo.

He said: "They have looked good but it's been a small period of games so they have to keep that going."

"Partnerships are built over seasons and they've only had four or five games together, so it's important that they keep their feet on the ground, keep level headed and keep doing what they're doing."

Meanwhile Pulis has challenged midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu to fight his way back into the Albion team.

The 28-year-old saw his African Cup of Nations campaign with DR Congo wrecked by injury, but is now itching to prove himself to the new boss.

And Pulis said: "I've always liked Mulumbu from the days that (former Albion boss) Roy (Hodgson) had him and I hope he has a big role to play.

"I hope he gets himself sharp and fit and gets back in the team.

"If he gets himself in the team that means he's playing better than Fletcher, Morrison, Yacob and people like that, which would be great."
