Big-spending Qatari club Al-Gharafa are considering offering West Brom misfit Brown Ideye a way out of the Hawthorns before Monday's transfer deadline.

Reports from the UAE suggest the Middle East side have spoken to Albion about the possibility of signing Ideye, who has failed to make an impact since his club-record £10million arrival in the summer.

But Al-Gharafa are believed to have failed to meet the Baggies' valuation so far.

Albion boss Tony Pulis is willing to let Ideye leave to free up funds for his own deadline-day swoop for a striker, but the Baggies are keen to sell the player and are likely to reject any loan offers.

They are no strangers to dealing with Al-Gharafa, who previously bid for former Baggies striker Peter Odemwingie during his bid to leave following his fall-out with the club.
