He's scored more than you think - relive all 72 goals, from Barcelona to Brentford, that Shola Ameobi netted in over 300 appearances for Newcastle.

The Baggies have agreed a contract in principle with the former Newcastle United forward, with both sides now considering whether to activate the deal.

Pulis is on the lookout for an experienced targetman to lead his attack and, while he has other possible targets in mind, Ameobi could be a low-cost extra addition to his squad.

The new Baggies head coach knows his strengths having taken him on loan to Stoke for six weeks in 2008. Ameobi played six times for the Potters, including three starts.

But the remainder of his career in England was spent with hometown club Newcastle, for whom he made more than 350 appearances.

The 33-year-old is a free agent having ended his contract with Turkish side Gaziantep, after the club suffered financial problems.
