Brown Ideye scores as West Brom triumph in Leicester friendly
Record signing Brown Ideye and fellow summer recruit Silvestre Varela scored as West Brom beat Leicester 2-0 in a behind-closed-doors friendly this afternoon.
Varela, who is battling back from groin surgery, opened the scoring for the Baggies on 27 minutes.
And £10m man Ideye, who is yet to find the net in the Premier League and has failed to make the bench in the club's last two games, doubled their lead with 20 minutes remaining.
The friendly, at the Foxes' training ground, was organised to give the Baggies' players much-needed match practice ahead of their return to competitive action at Chelsea on November 22.
Two more summer signings, Georgios Samaras and Sebastian Blanco, also figured alongside youngsters Liam O'Neil and Adil Nabi and goalkeeper Boaz Myhill.
