West Brom's Kemar Roofe joins Colchester
West Brom youngster Kemar Roofe has joined League One Colchester United on a month's loan deal.
The 21-year-old forward, a regular for the Baggies under-21s, could make his debut for the Essex club at Gosport Borough in the FA Cup this Saturday.
Colchester manager Tony Humes said: "Kemar fits into our way of playing and can play all across the front - and he has pace, an attribute that always causes problems for defenders.
Roofe added: "I am really looking forward to playing for Colchester United. The move is another chance for me to show the gaffer, the club and everyone else what I am about and also what I can offer.
"I'm looking forward to playing in front of a crowd and also trying to win football matches with Colchester. There is no better feeling in football than getting three points.
"I have already had good experiences out on loan at Northampton and Cheltenham, and on both occasions I have improved as a player and as a person."
