Jonas Olsson: It's Hammer time for West Brom
Defender Jonas Olsson today warned Albion another slow start could cost them victory in Saturday's potential pivotal clash with West Ham.
The Baggies kick-off a four-game finale that will decide their Premier League fate when they host the Hammers at The Hawthorns at the weekend.
And Olsson has told Pepe Mel's side that a 90-minute performance is needed after they effectively threw away Monday's game at Manchester City by conceding twice in the first 10 minutes.
"We approached it as a tough task but we went in with the belief of getting something out of it and if we had performed like we are capable of doing over 90 minutes we would have had a chance," said Olsson.
"But unfortunately we only put that performance down over 75 minutes and that's not enough, especially not at the Etihad.
"We felt we put down a good performance apart from the first 10 or 15 minutes. But that has been the pattern for the last five or six weeks.
"We need to put down performances from the first minute to the last minute and we will be alright. We said before Monday's game that it was important to be right for the first 10 or 15 minutes.
"But we weren't and it cost us the game."
