Peter Odemwingie is set to return to West Brom tomorrow to face the music after resuming his Twitter tirade today and hinting he might try to buy out his contract.

The Baggies striker continued to hit out online despite the club saying yesterday they would "deal internally" with his weekend rant.

Odemwingie is due back at the club's training ground tomorrow after flying to Dubai on Sunday for a short break with his family.

All West Brom players not involved in international squads were given three days off after Saturday's goalless draw at Stoke.

Having reopened his war of words with the club and supporters at the weekend, Odemwingie today sent out another cryptic tweet.

It read: "I see a free player. A player who buys out his contract soon. Or a retired player. Does he look like he cares much? They made him not to."

Odemwingie had previously retweeted a message from a follower, pointing out he would be eligible to buy out his contract this summer under article 17 or FIFA transfer regulations.

Article 17 allows players over the age of 28 to end their contracts two years after signing by paying a compensation figure that is determined by their weekly wage and their original transfer fee.

Odemwingie also retweeted several messages of support and posted a mobile phone screen-grab of an interview in September with assistant head coach Kevin Keen, praising the striker in the wake of his red card at Fulham.

The 31-year-old's Baggies future already looked uncertain after his January transfer request, the subsequent statements and tweets and his drive to Queens Park Rangers on deadline day led to a club fine.

He has made just four appearances as a substitute since January and criticised the club at the weekend for keeping him on the bench.

Meanwhile, Baggies midfielder James Morrison has been ruled out of Scotland's Friday night World Cup qualifier against Wales due to injury. He suffered a hamstring problem at Stoke on Saturday.

Young Albion defender Cameron Gayle, who is on loan at Shrewsbury, will be sidelined for a month with a hamstring injury.
