The striker took his tally for the season to 18 in Saddlers' victory over Colchester on Saturday and then promptly headed to Cardiff to join up with Chris Coleman's Wales squad.

Bradshaw, who scored 20 goals in 37 appearances for Walsall last season, now has two opportunities to make his international debut with the Welsh playing Northern Ireland on Thursday and Ukraine on Monday.

And after netting three goals in his last four games, the 23-year-old admits it's great to be joining up with Coleman's side in goal scoring form.

"It's great to be joining up with the Wales squad on the back of getting a few goals," Bradshaw said.

"I feel like I have been in good form since I have been at Walsall.

"There have been times when I have gone five, six games without a goal, but as a striker you are going to have those spells.

"As a striker, to score 20 last season and have 18 already this season with nine games to go – I can't ask for any more than that.

"I'm confident I will make it to 20 again and now I'm with Wales I'm doing my best to impress Chris Coleman again. It's a great time for Welsh football at the moment with qualifying for the Euros.

"I have got to believe I can get on the plane and if I get some minutes I will do everything I can to impress."

Meanwhile, Bradshaw has praised the impact of interim boss Jon Whitney since he stepped into the manager's job.

"Whits has been brilliant," he said. "We needed a change in format. When you you haven't won for a while there is a bit of negativity knocking around.

"But he brought a clean, fresh start and he is so passionate, he has revved everyone up and got that positivity back."
