Walsall boss Sean O'Driscoll insists there is no danger of his team underestimating tomorrow's opponents Crewe.

The Saddlers travel to Gresty Road to take on a side who have been sat in the League One relegation zone for the majority of the campaign.

But Steve Davis' men have turned the corner in recent weeks and are now unbeaten in their last four outings – a run that includes a 2-0 win against Rochdale last weekend.

O'Driscoll's side lost 3-0 at home to the Dale on January 2. But the boss feels that defeat has helped his side be better prepared for tomorrow's clash. "Following Rochdale, when we have done our preparation we have tried to make sure we know where the opposition is emotionally," the head coach said.

"Before that game we had won five on the trot and we didn't really take into account where Rochdale were and they were really fired up.

"Since then we have been trying to work out where are we now, where the opposition are now.

"You look at Crewe, they are unbeaten in four. They are in far better shape than they have been throughout the season.

"You would have like to have played them when they are on a bad run rather than a good run. But we are a team that everyone is going to prepare for and treat seriously."

O'Driscoll's side travel with the best away record in the division having won nine of their 14 games outside the Banks's.

In contrast, the Saddlers have taken just one point form a possible nine in three home games. But O'Driscoll believes there is no real reason why results are better on the road.

"Sometimes the randomness goes with you and sometimes it doesn't," he added.

"You can tear you hair out trying to look for answers. You just have to be consistent in what you do."
