Kevan Hurst was today ruled out for up to six weeks with a broken bone in his foot as Walsall were hit by a double injury blow.
The winger limped off in the weekend's 2-0 defeat to MK Dons and X-rays have confirmed he has a broken bone in his heel.
He will now miss the Saddlers' crunch Christmas run-in – including Saturday's trip to Huddersfield, who are unbeaten in 41 League One games.
Right-back Darryl Westlake is also out for two weeks after turning his ankle in Tuesday's 6-5 Birmingham Senior Cup defeat to Hednesford.
