Walsall's Rico Henry is facing months out
Walsall have suffered a blow as are set to lose Rico Henry for Wembley - leaving him facing a battle to play again this season.
Manager Dean Smith expects the 17-year-old full back to be out for up to two months with a dislocated shoulder.
He fell awkwardly in the build-up to Preston's goal in Tuesday's 1-0 defeat at Deepdale. Henry underwent x-rays on the night before being allowed to return home.
But the exciting prospect looks like missing the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final at Wembley against Bristol City on March 22 - and may struggle to play again this term.
Smith said: "Rico Henry has dislocated his shoulder so he will be out and I think that one will be a while.
"It's a big blow for the kid. It's horrible if he has to miss out on a Wembley appearance but it's looking that way at the moment.
"It could be the end of the season but we won't know until we have the scan in the next few days.
"Dislocated shoulders usually take a couple of months, but he's got to have an MRI scan in the next few days to assess the severity of the damage.
"He has to have a scan because when it pops out, there can be nerve damage, so that's the big thing you have to look at first."
But there is better news regarding two other casualties ahead of tomorrow's visit of Leyton Orient.
Centre-back Paul Downing (thigh) and striker Tom Bradshaw (flu) are fit and available and James Chambers is OK as well after four stitches in a head wound on Tuesday.
Winger Anthony Forde is 50-50 after a recurrence of his groin injury.
