Ben Purkiss: We will not change our game
Ben Purkiss has vowed Walsall will stick to their principles – as they aim to get their League One play-off challenge back on track.
The Saddlers remain just three points outside the top six despite losing 1-0 to Port Vale at the weekend.
And defender Purkiss believes the key from now on is staying true to their beliefs.
"Throughout the season there has been a belief in what we are doing and there has never been any panic," he said.
"There might be external pressures but from inside the dressing room we have always believed in ourselves and believed in each other.
"I feel you need to stick to your principles – we are an organised team and prepare for every game and we have good players.
"We have kept believing in that and stuck to the plan.
"At the moment, while I would not say it is reaping its rewards, we are on the right track, even though we are still some way short of where we want to be.
"I'm sure there will be some knocks along the way but as long as we keep believing in ourselves we'll be okay."
The Saddlers visit Bradford City this Saturday with the hosts buoyed by their 2-0 win over Sunderland in the FA Cup fifth round.
