Walsall's Tom Bradshaw faces two weeks out

Walsall have suffered a blow after top scorer Tom Bradshaw was ruled out for around two weeks.

The 22-year-old left Sunday's 1-1 draw with Gillingham early due to a hamstring injury and a scan has revealed a slight strain.

Bradshaw is certain to miss this Saturday's trip to Doncaster and next Tuesday's home game with Rochdale.

It will be the fourth time this season the striker has been forced out due to hamstring problems.

Boss Dean Smith does expect defender James Chambers, who also came off on Sunday with hamstring injury, to return for Saturday's game.

Smith said: "Tom and James both went for a scan. James looks fine but Tom has a little bit of a strain, not on the muscle but on the membrane, similar to what he has had before but on a different leg.

"He will probably be out for ten days to two weeks. It is not the muscle which is positive news.

"Watching the game back we can't see any incident to see where he has done it, so it is puzzling."
