Captain Adam Chambers has issued a final rallying cry to supporters as Walsall go in search of glory.

The skipper is hoping sold-out home support at the Banks's Stadium can spur the Saddlers on to take down Preston and seal the club's first-ever trip to Wembley.

Chambers said: "Preston have to come and score at least two goals and will look to put us under pressure.

"We will need the fans to really spur us on at those moments when they are on top. They can spur us on to pick it up."

With Preston struggling to sell all of their allocation, the Saddlers can expect a partisan crowd.

The club have prepared for the larger than normal crowd by ordering three times as many pies and extra beer, while also bringing in more catering and bar staff.

Turnstiles will open two hours before kick-off, at 5.45pm, and fans are being encouraged to arrive as early as possible.

Chambers and the players are focused purely on performance, saying: "We want a good one, to win the game. If we put in a good performance everything else will take care of itself.

"If you start thinking about the 'W'(Wembley) word it takes your focus off that night."
