Michael Cain: I am able to fire up Walsall
New-boy Michael Cain today set his sights on goals and helping Walsall climb up League One.
The 20-year-old is eager to impress after signing a one-month loan deal at the Banks's from Leicester City yesterday.
Cain spent time training with the Saddlers in recent weeks before putting pen to paper and could make his debut in tonight's game at Crawley Town.
Usually deployed as an attacking midfielder, he is eager to give Dean Smith's side a greater cutting edge.
He said: "I feel I bring an attacking dynamic to the team. I'm a midfielder who likes to get forward a lot, create a lot of opportunities and get a few goals.
"I will try and get my personality across into the team."
He added: "Walsall are renowned as a passing team and I feel that I will fit perfectly into that, as it's how I have been brought up in the game.
"I've already trained here over the past few weeks and its one of the best atmospheres that I have ever experienced in football.
"The players and staff are a close-knit group and they have made me feel extremely welcome."
Cain, who joined Leicester from Luton four years ago, is highly-rated by the Foxes.
He made his senior debut for the Premier League club in their Capital One Cup defeat to Shrewsbury earlier this season.
He made two substitute appearances during a loan spell in League Two with Mansfield Town last year and is keen to get an increased taste of senior football with the Saddlers.
He said: "Playing under-21 football is good for your development but there is nothing like a 3pm kick-off on a Saturday in competitive league football.
"Hopefully, I will get a few games under my belt here. The lads and the manager and everyone around it are first-class, the facilities are superb. Hopefully we can take that forward.
"I want to get a few games under my belt. I have set myself a goal of getting a start in the team, get myself a few goals and hopefully push Walsall up the table.
"I'm over the moon to be here. It's an opportunity for me to play regular football at a good level, so I'm relishing the challenge."
