Walsall's Amadou Bakayoko joins Southport
Teenage Walsall striker Amadou Bakayoko has joined Conference Premier side Southport on a month's loan.
The 18-year-old youth team product has made three substitute appearances for the Saddlers this season.
Bakayoko joins the Haig Avenue outfit, who named Gary Brabin as their new manager just days ago, in a bid to gain regular competitive football.
"I just want to play games, so I can't wait to get stuck in and show what I can do," said Bakayoko. "It's about going there, getting time on the pitch and scoring a few goals.
"I've enjoyed being part of the first-team group here and my aim is to come back ready to push on.
"A few of the younger lads have gone out on loan to get games and it is good experience.
"I know that I'm going into a tough, competitive League, but I feel ready for it and am confident in my ability to make an impact."
