Walsall boss Dean Smith edging closer to new additions
Walsall boss Dean Smith believes he is on the brink of two more deals to continue his re-modelling of the League One team this summer.
And Smith is continuing to try to find the financial package that will enable defender Andy Taylor to sign a new deal.
He said: "We're getting close on a couple of players now which I am hopeful will be completed over the weekend.
"They are players who we have targeted and it's just a case of ironing out one or two little things. But I am happy with the way things are going. We're on course."
Tight running of the budget will be the key to the Taylor contract which Smith is still working on.
"Yes, we're still talking and it's a case of us putting together the financial package that is acceptable to Andy," said Smith.
