Walsall FC's Andy Taylor ruled out with knee injury
Walsall left-back Andy Taylor was today ruled out for around two weeks with a knee injury.
Taylor limped out of last Saturday's 1-1 draw with Brentford and manager Dean Smith has confirmed a scan has revealed a slight tear.
Mal Benning is set to deputise for the 27-year-old, who has been an ever-present since August.
"Andy has had a scan and it looks like he will be out for a couple of weeks with a grade one tear," said Smith today.
"It's unfortunate for him, but I think we have a more than able replacement in Mal who came on against Brentford and did well.
"It's a shame for Andy. He has been part of a very good defence all season.
"Mal has been patient and probably a bit frustrated – he showed what he can do in his cameo on Saturday."
Taylor is the Saddlers' only injury concern ahead of Saturday's trip to Notts County.
