Kidderminster Harriers are set to sign Nathan Vaughan after the goalkeeper returned to the club to play in their friendly defeat against Walsall.
Vaughan replaced Danny Lewis at half-time but shipped in three last night as Harriers blew a two goal lead to allow the League One visitors to win 3-2.
The 30-year-old played twice for Harriers in the FA Trophy last season against Vauxhall Motors, signing on non-contract forms from Leamington.
Now Vaughan will land a one-year deal as back-up to Lewis after Harriers trialled Robert Ambrusics, Ed Baldy and Josh van Leader in pre-season.
Harriers lost Dean Lyness, 20, to Football League club Burton Albion this summer and the clubs have yet to agree on a compensation fee.
However, Harriers have reached an agreement on midfielder Dan Bradley with league rivals Alfreton of £2,500 and a sell-on fee for the 21-year-old.
But Harriers and Hednesford are heading to an FA tribunal on 16 August to settle the June transfer of Cheyenne Dunkley to Aggborough.
