The Saddlers top scorer, who bagged his 18th of the season in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Crewe, has revealed plans to spend part of the close season with specialists at Loughborough University who he hopes will find a solution to his chronic injury problems.

Bradshaw has endured repeated spells on the sidelines which have seen him miss a total of 20 games.

And asked about his plans for the summer, he replied: "I think I will probably have a couple of weeks break and then it is all about strengthening.

"We are going away, to Loughborough I think, to do all sorts of testing to try and nip it in the bud.

"It is not a major issue. It is not the actual hamstring muscle which is being damaged but the fascia so it is something which can be strengthened.

"Hopefully it will be sorted.

"It is something where we have found out what it is and have ways to prevent it using tape until the end of the season.

"The summer will be for strengthening and work on it.

"It is not fully confirmed but we are going to try and get to Loughborough, that is the plan.

"They have some facilities there which we are going to try and use and hopefully prevent this from happening again."

Before then, Bradshaw will aim to reach his target of 20 goals for the campaign in the Saddlers final three games, starting with tomorrow night's trip to Swindon.

His strike on Saturday, which cancelled out Marcus Haber's opener, owed much to fortune as it took a huge deflection off Crewe defender Harry Davis.

When told League One does not have a Dubious Goals Panel, he replied: "I'm thankful to hear that because I'm not sure what it would go down as if it went to a panel.

"I believe it was my goal and I'm thankful it was my goal.

"It was a tough game, we knew it would be because they are fighting for their lives and it was a fight.

"We weren't at our best but I think something we haven't done this season is pick up points when we've been below par and on Saturday we managed it."
