Brian Matthews was a big winner at the weekend with his 'goals galore' coupon from Betfred coming up trumps.

The Wolves fan's 30 selected teams all scored, netting him £112,500 from the £15 stake he placed at the shop in Market Place in the town centre.

On Saturday he was sweating on Premier League leaders Manchester City's fixture against Middlesbrough, which saw the visitors equalise in injury time through Marten de Roon.

Lucky Brian Matthews was a big winner with his 'goals galore' coupon from Betfred.

The Wolves fan's 30 selected teams all scored – netting him £112,500 from the £15 stake he placed at the shop in Market Place in Dudley town centre.

Mr Matthews predicted both teams would score in the following matches:

  • Arsenal vs Tottenham, which ended in a 1-1 draw

  • Aston Vill vs Blackburn, a 2-1 victory for Villa

  • Bournemouth vs Sunderland, a 2-1 victory for Sunderland

  • Burnley vs Crystal Palace – 3-2 to Burnley

  • Bury vs Wimbledon, a 2-2 draw

  • Charlton vs Scunthorpe – 3-1 to Charlton

  • Huddersfield vs Birmingham, a 1-1 draw

  • Manchester City vs Middlesborough, a 1-1 draw in which Boro scored in the 90th minute to keep the bet alive

  • Mansfield vs Plymouth – 2-1 to Plymouth

  • Newcastle vs Cardiff – 2-1 to Newcastle

  • Norwich vs Leeds – 3-2 to Leeds

  • Oldham-Doncaster – 2-1 to Oldham

  • Sheffield Wednesday vs Ipswich – 2-1 to Ipswich

  • West Ham vs Stoke, a 1-1 draw

  • Wolves-Derby, in which a calamitous defensive performance by the home team, and similarly awful refereeing, led to a 3-2 win for Derby

There were goals by both teams at Bournemouth, West Ham, Bury, Charlton, Oldham, Burnley, Huddersfield, Norwich, Wolves, Aston Villa, Mansfield, Newcastle and Sheffield Wednesday.

His whole fixed odds accumulator then rested on the result of the north London derby on Sunday.

Arsenal took the lead but Tottenham's England striker Harry Kane equalised from the penalty spot making the final score 1-1 - and leaving Mr Matthews in the money.

Mr Matthews, aged 48, said: "I feel fantastic – I can hardly believe what's happened.

"All last season I was studying form and never won anything.

"This season I decided to stick to the same formula, the first three in each section on the goals galore bonus coupon and stick with it. This winning bet took me half an hour maximum to fill in."

The custody officer addedn: "I thought I had lost out with City but then Boro equalised so late to keep the bet live going into Sunday.

"A pal of mine won £4,000 on the same coupon and I was happy for him and I had to wait until the Arsenal-Spurs game. I haven't had time to celebrate but I will.

"I'm a VIP customer at Betfred, going in the Dudley shop virtually every day.

"First thing I will be doing is paying off my mortgage then getting a car.

"I haven't got a car at the moment and will be choosing between a Mercedes, BMW, Audi or Lexus.

"I have a partner Lorna and I will be getting her a present of course.

"In fact there is a possibility we might get married now – I haven't got the excuse that I have no money and it will be expensive any more have I?"

Betfred boss Fred Done said: " It is brilliant that your huge win from such a small stake will completely change your life.

"It was an unprecedented weekend for goals and I wonder if the defenders and keepers had been up all night at bonfire parties."
