Wimbledon 2016: Halesowen's Jordanne Whiley books semi-final spot
Jordanne Whiley cruised to victory in her first-ever singles match at Wimbledon.

The Halesowen star beat fellow Brit Lucy Shuker 6-1, 6-1 in the opening round of the women's wheelchair singles on Court 16 this afternoon.
She will next face Aniek van Koot in the semi-finals tomorrow after the Dutchwoman defeated Whiley's doubles partner Yui Kamiji in a titanic three-set contest - 2-6, 7-5, 6-4.
It is set to be a busy Friday for 24-year-old Whiley who will also team up with Kamiji as they bid to defend their women's wheelchair doubles crown - starting with a semi-final against Marjolein Buis and Louise Hunt.
