Whiley has already collected three singles titles this season and will be hoping to bring back two gold medals from Brazil.

The 24-year-old achieved a calendar Grand Slam in 2014 with her partner Yui Kamiji by winning the wheelchair doubles at the Australian Open (beating the Dutch pair Marjolein Buis and Jiske Griffioen), the French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open (overcoming Griffioen and fellow Dutchwoman Aniek van Koot in all three finals).

She is also the current holder of the US Open singles crown and took home a bronze medal in the doubles of the 2012 Paralympic Games.
