Wolves to face Oxford United in pre-season friendly

Wolves today announced their fifth pre-season friendly with a trip to Oxford United on Tuesday, July 29.

The League One champions make their first trip to the Kassam Stadium to face Gary Waddock's side, who finished eighth in League Two last season, three days after travelling to Crewe.

The 2-0 win at Gresty Road on April 12 sealed promotion thanks to goals from Kevin McDonald and Dave Edwards.

The first friendly is at Cheltenham on Friday, July 11 (7.45pm).

Kenny Jackett's squad also face Shamrock Rovers on Monday, July 14 (8pm) and Bohemians two days later (7.45pm) during their six-day tour of Ireland from Sunday, July 13 to Friday, July 18.

Wolves have already announced two Under-21s friendlies, at Telford on Tuesday, July 22, and at Margate on Friday, July 25, both 7.30pm kick-offs.
