Neville Thompson seals Rangers exit

Stafford Rangers striker Neville Thompson has accepted an offer from Welsh Premier League side Airbus before the transfer deadline.

Thompson failed to report to training with Rangers as the clock ticked down to the transfer window, which applies in Wales, slamming shut at 11pm.

The 25-year-old was the subject of a seven-day approach, which gave Airbus permission to speak to him on Sunday and make an offer yesterday.

After talks, Thompson has agreed to a deal to replace his non-contract forms at Rangers and seal his exit from Marston Road.

Airbus also signed Warley-born Mark Danks, who was on non-contract forms at Stourbridge after turning down an offer from Rangers.
