Wolves have been linked with a move for Caen striker Youssef El Arabi. Stoke City are also said to be interested in the Moroccan international.

Wolves have had a bid of £6m for Birmingham's Roger Johnson rejected.

BLUES

Birmingham's Sebastian Larsson will snub Arsenal, Villa, Blackburn and Newcastle to sign for Sunderland.

Arsenal and Liverpool are both said to be interested in signing central defender Scott Dann.

Marlon King has apparently been offered a £15,000 a week deal at St Andrew's.

VILLA

Randy Lerner has flown into town to begin the interview process for new managers. On the short list are said to be Steve McClaren Rafa Benitez and Mark Hughes. Ther's also speculation that David Moyes is onhis list of potential successors to Gerard Houllier. We await the white smoke from Villa Park.

Once Kenny Dalglish has tied a up a deal for Sunderland's Jordan Henderson he will turn his attention to Stewart Downing.

ALBION
