Prices for short-hop bus journeys across Cannock have been slashed by 17 per cent by bosses at Arriva Midlands after proving unpopular with passengers.

The new fares – which are for single journeys from routes including White Lion Public House to Cannock Bus Station – will come into play on October 1.
Adult passengers will pay £1 instead of £1.20 for a single journey.
The reduction is for bus stops between and including White Lion Public House, Cemetery Road, and the junction to the A34.
Keith Myatt, marketing and communications manager said: "Feedback from customers highlighted some of our fares for short-hop travellers were not priced at a level to make bus travel popular."
