The Star and Garter had its licence suspended for 30 days in August but remains closed.

Sandwell Council said it had not been informed who would be the pub's designated premises supervisor, so it could not yet re-open.

West Midlands Police had wanted the troubled pub to be shut down for good over concerns someone could be seriously hurt or killed. They said it had become a 'no-go zone' due to drugs and weapons on the premises.
