Accurate Laser Cutting on Hainge Road is doubling the size of its base following a surge in demand for its specialist services.

It is also spending £1 million on new equipment to help increase its production.

The latest investment follows spending on two laser cutting machines and a press-brake machine used for bending sheet and plate material in 2012.

The firm, which also has a depot in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, says the expansion plans for the site will create at least five new jobs.

Bosses say they want the Oldbury base to be a 'one-stop' shop for one-stop-facility for a wide range of metal cutting, folding and bending services.

The firm currently had 30 workers at the Hainge Road site and they hope to open more depots across the UK in the coming years.

Director Steve Morgan said: "Our previous technological investments have proved a huge success with production rates increasing by 40 per cent.

"We are confident that the expansion of our premises combined with further investments in the very latest equipment will further intensify our impact on the manufacturing industry, creating bigger and better opportunities for us in the future."

Fellow director Jon Till added: "2015 is fast becoming a very exciting year for Accurate Laser. These new investments will not only increase our cutting bed size but will boast rapid cutting times that have never been seen before, keeping the manufacturing process as seamless as possible for our customers.

"The long term plan is to increase production levels by 50 per cent and eventually have a manufacturing base in every major city within the UK.

"We are confident that our decision to invest in these innovative facilities will enable us to penetrate new industries and offer our customers the very best in quality, service and price."

Plans are also under way to equip the new facility with an eco-friendly bio mass boiler. The system will create an economical supply of heating and hot water for the entire premises, offering the business a sustainable source of energy for the future and significant savings on their overheads.

The firm specialises in laser-cutting and press-braking. In 2012, it introduced a new weekend shift keep up with increased orders at the company.
