Large fire takes hold at Rugeley timber yard
A large fire engulfed part of a timber yard and a nearby lorry in Rugeley.
Five fire crews were called to tackle the blaze, in Power Station Road, at 10.30am today.
Police officers cordoned off roads and rail operators were alerted to rising smoke on the nearby Chase Line.
Staffordshire Fire Service said a number of cars and caravans were also caught up in the blaze.
Firefighters used five litres of compressed air foam to damp down.
They revisited the site for checks later.
