Fire tackled at recycling centre in Great Wyrley
Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a recycling centre in Great Wyrley.
Wood and rubber went up in flames at the site in Hazel Lane just before 1pm on Monday.
Crews from Cannock Fire Station and another from Bloxwich Fire Station were called to the scene.
They used a compressed air foam system to extinguish the fire and still at the scene dealing with the incident before 3pm.
A Staffordshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "There is two appliances from Cannock along with the water carrier and an appliance from Bloxwich.
"It is at a recycling premises and the fire is believed to involve wood and rubber products."
