Body found on Cannock Chase believed to be missing man
A body has been found on Cannock Chase by police searching for a missing man.
Officers believe they have found the body of missing 50-year-old man David Knowles, from Streetly, who went missing on Thursday.
No formal identification has taken place but Mr Knowles' family have been informed.
Police had previously launched an appeal to find Mr Knowles, who had last been seen in Lichfield.
Staffordshire Police also searched the area to find the man.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Officers searching for missing David Knowles from Streetly have found the body of a man on Cannock Chase.
"His death is not being treated as suspicious and, although formal identification is yet to take place, Mr Knowles’ family have been informed."
