Police continue appeal to help trace missing Staffordshire man after dog found
Police are continuing to search for a missing Staffordshire man – who has been missing since Friday.
William Lee has been missing from his home in Tamworth since Friday, April 16.
His dog Daisy, a Yorkshire Terrier, was found around some lakes by a member of the public in North Warwickshire on Sunday. William was last seen with Daisy near Sutton Coldfield on Friday.
The last confirmed sighting of Mr Lee was near to Cliff Lake, on a path at The Broom, near Cadogan Road, Dostill, Tamworth, at around 3.30pm on Sunday, April 18.
He is described as a white male, around 5ft 6 tall, with a slim build and white hair. He was wearing a light-coloured jacket, a beige jumper and trousers.
William’s car, a black Ford Fiesta – registration NV54 AON – was found near to stables on Slade Lane in Dosthill on Saturday morning. His dog Daisy was found safe on a pathway between Slade Lane towards Cliff Lake on Sunday.
Extensive searches have taken place of Cliff Lake and other lakes nearby.
Detective Inspector Neil Poultney, of CID South at Staffordshire Police, said: “We are appealing to the public to check their outhouses and rear gardens and look for William if you go to any open spaces.
“Thank you to all of the members of the public who have come forward so far – we have captured all of the information given.
“If you do see William or know any information about his whereabouts please contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting 755 of April 16.”
