Woman dies after being found seriously injured near Halesowen car park
A woman has been found dead near a multi-storey car park in Halesowen.
The woman was found with serious injuries near to the car park off Great Cornbow shortly before 6am this morning.
West Midlands Police confirmed they had received reports of a woman falling from the roof of the multi-storey car park, in Pool Road.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, near to Halesowen Leisure Centre, but despite the best efforts of paramedics she died at the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to the Great Cornbow in Halesowen at 5.47am to reports of a woman who had very serious serious injuries.
"Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
"We sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer , a rapid response vehicle and a trauma doctor to the scene."
A spokesman from West Midlands Police added: "Officers were called to reports of a woman falling from the roof of a multi-storey car park in Pool Road, Halesowen, around 5.45am today.
"She was sadly confirmed dead at the scene. The coroner will be informed."
