Brierley Hill

Brierley Hill was once dominated by its imposing manufacturing giant, Round Oak Steelworks. Now it is dominated by its retail giant, Intu Merry Hill. As Round Oak wound down production, farmland near the colossal site was transformed into the bustling centre used by thousands of shoppers each year. The steelworks was redeveloped into The Waterfront complex. Its links with glassmaking also give a clear view of its history alongside gigs at the revitalised Brierley Hill Civic Hall.
