Police help man down from factory roof in Dudley as road closed

A man was helped down from the roof of a factory building in Dudley.

Police sent a specialist negotiator to the scene, at the junction of Blackacre Road and Prospect Row, at around 7.15am on Saturday.

The man was helped down and checked over by paramedics.

There was a large emergency services presence in the area including multiple police and ambulance vehicles.

Blackacre Road, which is near Buffery Park, was closed in both directions during the incident.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Officers were alerted to a man standing on the roof of a factory building on the junction of Blackacre Road and Prospect Row, Dudley.

"A specialist negotiator was sent to the scene and the man has since safely come down from the building and will be checked over by paramedics. The roads are due to reopen shortly."
