One further coronavirus death in region's hospitals
One new coronavirus death has been confirmed in the region, in the latest figures released by NHS England.
It means the total number of Covid deaths in hospitals in the Black Country, Staffordshire and Birmingham now stands at 7,595.
A further 1,436 have died in care homes in the region after testing positive for coronavirus.
NHS England confirmed a further 11 deaths in figures released on Friday.
One death was announced at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust, which runs New Cross Hospital, taking the total number of deaths to 803.
Overall, a total of 1,717 people have died at the Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, 740 at the Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust, and 722 at the Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.
At the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS trust 1,377 have died.
And a total of 2,612 have died at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. The trust runs the Queen Elizabeth, Heartlands, Solihull and Good Hope hospitals.
A total of 53,286,560 vaccinations have been carried out across England to date – including first and second doses.
In the Midlands, 6,125,936 first doses of the coronavirus vaccine has been administered, while 4,005,671 second doses have been carried out.
The data includes vaccinations carried out between December 8 and May 27.
