Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust was given the rating after an inspection by the Care Quality Commission in July. Inspectors said the trust, which also runs Worcestershire Royal Hospital, needed to make urgent improvements.

An 'over reliance' on temporary staff and overcrowding in A&E were among areas highlighted.

Trust chief executive, Chris Tidman, said hospital staff were 'very disappointed' by the rating.
